Genesis 6:9
This is the account of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with God.

About this Chapter

In Genesis 6, we learn about the wickedness of mankind and God's decision to bring a flood to destroy all living creatures on earth. However, Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord. God saw how corrupt the earth had become and that every inclination of the thoughts of human hearts was only evil all the time. But Noah was different. He was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God. Because of Noah's righteousness, God chose him to build an ark and instructed him to bring his family and pairs of every kind of animal into the ark. The floodwaters came upon the earth, but Noah and his family, along with the animals, were saved from the destruction.
