Genesis 8:1
But God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and the livestock that were with him in the ark, and he sent a wind over the earth, and the waters receded.

About this Chapter

After 150 days, God remembered Noah and the animals on the ark and caused a wind to blow over the earth, causing the waters to recede. The rain stopped, the floodwaters began to go down, and the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat. Noah sent out a raven, but it kept flying back and forth until the waters had dried up from the earth. Then he sent out a dove, but it couldn't find a place to land, so it returned to the ark. After seven days, Noah sent out the dove again, and this time it returned with an olive leaf in its beak, indicating that the waters had receded. Noah waited another seven days and sent out the dove once more. This time, it did not return, indicating that the earth was dry. Then God spoke to Noah, telling him to come out of the ark with his family and all the animals. Noah obeyed, and they all came out of the ark onto the dry ground.
