Genesis 47:7
Then Joseph brought his father Jacob in and presented him before Pharaoh. After Jacob blessed Pharaoh,
In this chapter, Joseph brings his father Jacob and his brothers to meet Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. When Pharaoh asks Jacob about his age, Jacob replies that his life has been full of hardships and has not reached the same length as his ancestors. Joseph then presents his brothers to Pharaoh, and Pharaoh grants them the best land in Egypt to settle. As the famine continues, Joseph manages the distribution of grain throughout the land. When people run out of money, Joseph allows them to trade their livestock and land for food. As a result, by the end of the famine, Pharaoh becomes the owner of all the land in Egypt, except for the land of the priests. Meanwhile, Jacob lives in Egypt for seventeen years and reaches the age of 147. Before his death, Jacob blesses Joseph's sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, and adopts them as his own. He also blesses his own sons, foretelling what will happen to each of them in the future.
