Exodus 35:4
Moses said to the whole Israelite community, "This is what the LORD has commanded:
In this chapter, Moses gathers the Israelites and instructs them to bring offerings for the construction of the tabernacle. He tells them that everyone who is willing and whose heart moves them should bring an offering to the Lord. The offerings include gold, silver, bronze, fine linen, and various materials needed for the construction. Moses emphasizes that the offerings are voluntary and that the people should give as much as their hearts desire. The people respond with great generosity, bringing their offerings to Moses. The skilled workers, including craftsmen and artisans, are also called upon to use these offerings to construct the tabernacle and its furnishings. This chapter highlights the importance of giving willingly and generously to the Lord's work. It shows the unity and willingness of the Israelites to contribute to the construction of the tabernacle, which would serve as a place of worship and a symbol of God's presence among them.
