Easy Bible・Leviticus 6
Leviticus 6:1
The LORD said to Moses:
Leviticus 6 begins with instructions for the guilt offering, which is to be brought by someone who has committed a sin unintentionally. The offering is to be a ram without defect, and the person is required to make restitution for any wrong they have done. The priest will make atonement for the person and their sin will be forgiven. Next, the chapter discusses the instructions for the burnt offering. The burnt offering is a voluntary offering made by someone who wants to show their devotion and commitment to God. The offering is completely burned on the altar, symbolizing the person's dedication to God. Lastly, the chapter addresses the instructions for the grain offering. The grain offering is made with fine flour, oil, and frankincense. A portion of the offering is burned on the altar, while the rest is given to the priests as a portion of their food. The grain offering is a way for the people to express gratitude and thanksgiving to God.
