Easy Bible・Numbers 7
Numbers 7:1
When Moses finished setting up the tabernacle, he anointed it and consecrated it and all its furnishings. He also anointed and consecrated the altar and all its utensils.
In Numbers 7, the leaders of the twelve tribes of Israel bring offerings for the dedication of the tabernacle. Each leader brings the same offering: a silver plate, a silver basin, and a gold dish filled with incense. The total value of their offerings is substantial, showing their dedication to the Lord and their desire to support the work of the tabernacle. The offerings brought by the leaders are presented to Moses, who then gives them to the Levites for safekeeping. This highlights the importance of the Levites in the service of the tabernacle, as they are responsible for the care and transport of the sacred items. The chapter concludes with a summary of the total offerings brought by the leaders of each tribe. This highlights the unity and commitment of the Israelites in supporting the tabernacle and its ministry.
