Numbers 15:37
The LORD said to Moses,
In this chapter, God gives Moses instructions regarding various offerings that the Israelites are to bring to Him. These offerings include burnt offerings, grain offerings, drink offerings, and fellowship offerings. God emphasizes the importance of obedience and the proper way of presenting these offerings. God also commands the Israelites to wear tassels on the corners of their garments, with a blue cord in each tassel. This serves as a reminder for the people to remember and obey God's commandments, and to not follow after their own hearts and eyes. Lastly, the chapter ends with a story of a man who gathers wood on the Sabbath day, which is a violation of God's commandment. The man is brought before Moses and Aaron, and God instructs them to stone him to death as a punishment for his disobedience. This serves as a warning to the Israelites to keep the Sabbath holy and to obey God's laws.
