Easy Bible・Numbers 28
Numbers 28:1
The LORD said to Moses,
God commanded the Israelites to offer daily sacrifices to Him. They were to offer two lambs each day, one in the morning and one in the evening, as a pleasing aroma to the Lord. Along with the lambs, they were to offer a grain offering, a drink offering, and a burnt offering. These offerings were to be made in addition to the regular Sabbath and monthly offerings. The daily sacrifices were a way for the Israelites to continually acknowledge God's presence and express their gratitude and dependence on Him. The pleasing aroma of the sacrifices symbolized their desire to please and worship God. The grain offering represented their thanksgiving and dedication, the drink offering symbolized their joy and celebration, and the burnt offering signified their complete surrender to God. As Christians, we can learn from the Israelites' practice of offering daily sacrifices. While we may not offer animal sacrifices today, we can still offer ourselves as living sacrifices to God, presenting our bodies and lives as a pleasing aroma to Him (Romans 12:1). We can continually acknowledge God's presence in our lives, express our gratitude and dependence on Him, and surrender ourselves completely to His will. Our daily worship and surrender to God can bring joy, celebration, and a pleasing aroma to Him.
