Easy Bible・Deuteronomy 2
Deuteronomy 2:7
The LORD your God has blessed you in all the work of your hands. He has watched over your journey through this vast desert. These forty years the LORD your God has been with you, and you have not lacked anything.
In this chapter, Moses recounts the journey of the Israelites around the land of Moab. God commanded them not to harass the Moabites or provoke them to battle, as He had given the land of Ar to the descendants of Lot. The Israelites passed through the territories of the Ammonites and the Edomites, and God also warned them not to provoke these nations to war. The Lord promised to give the Israelites possession of the land He had given to Esau and the descendants of Lot. The Israelites continued their journey, avoiding conflict with the Moabites, Ammonites, and Edomites. They passed through the wilderness of Moab and eventually arrived at the land of the Amorites. Moses reminded the Israelites of God's faithfulness, recounting how the Lord had defeated the Amorites and given their land to the Israelites. He encouraged them to have faith in God and trust in His promises as they continued on their journey. As the Israelites traveled, they were sustained by God's provision. He provided them with water, food, and protection throughout their journey. Moses reminded the Israelites of God's care for them, emphasizing that not a single one of them had suffered any lack or hardship. This served as a reminder of God's faithfulness and provision, encouraging the Israelites to continue to trust in Him as they faced the challenges ahead.
