Easy Bible・1 Samuel 22
1 Samuel 22:1
David left Gath and escaped to the cave of Adullam. When his brothers and his father's household heard about it, they went down to him there.
David, who was fleeing from King Saul, went to the cave of Adullam. His family and others who were in distress or in debt joined him there, and he became their leader. David's time in the cave of Adullam was a difficult period for him. However, it was also a time of gathering a loyal following and forming a community with those who were in need. This chapter shows us that even in times of hardship, God can use our circumstances to bring about His plans and purposes. In our own lives, we may face challenges and difficulties, but we can take comfort in knowing that God is with us. He can turn our trials into opportunities for growth and transformation. Just as David found refuge in the cave of Adullam, we can find refuge in God during our times of trouble.
