About this Chapter

In this chapter, we see David's military success and the establishment of his kingdom. David defeated the Philistines, the Moabites, the king of Zobah, the Arameans, and the Edomites. He conquered many cities and became famous for his military victories. David's rule extended from the Euphrates River to the border of Egypt. David's success in battle was not due to his own strength, but because God was with him. The Lord gave David victory wherever he went. David's military achievements fulfilled God's promise to him and demonstrated God's faithfulness to His covenant with David. David also showed kindness and justice to the people he conquered. He appointed officials to administer justice and rule over the conquered territories. David's reign was marked by both military success and righteous governance, establishing him as a strong and just king.
