2 Chronicles 1:10
Give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may lead this people, for who is able to govern this great people of yours?"
In this chapter, Solomon becomes the king of Israel after his father David's death. He goes to Gibeon to offer sacrifices to the Lord. During the night, God appears to Solomon in a dream and asks him what he wants. Solomon humbly asks for wisdom and knowledge to govern the people of Israel. God is pleased with Solomon's request and grants him not only wisdom but also wealth, honor, and long life. Solomon's request for wisdom is a reflection of his heart's desire to lead God's people well. It shows his humility and dependence on God. God's response to Solomon's request demonstrates His faithfulness and willingness to bless those who seek Him with a sincere heart. This chapter teaches us the importance of seeking wisdom from God and relying on Him in all aspects of our lives. As we read this chapter, we can be inspired by Solomon's example and pray for wisdom in our own lives. We can also trust that God will provide us with what we need when we seek Him wholeheartedly. May we learn from Solomon's wisdom and strive to live in obedience to God's Word.
