Easy Bible・2 Chronicles 2
2 Chronicles 2:1
Solomon gave orders to build a temple for the Name of the LORD and a royal palace for himself.
In this chapter, we see Solomon making preparations to build the temple of the Lord. He sends a message to King Hiram of Tyre, requesting him to provide cedar logs and skilled workers for the construction. Solomon explains that the temple he wants to build will be a place for the Lord to dwell among His people. Solomon praises the Lord and acknowledges that no temple can truly contain God, as heaven and the highest heavens cannot contain Him. However, Solomon desires to build a magnificent temple as a place for the people to worship and offer sacrifices to God. Solomon also mentions that the temple will be a place to offer burnt offerings, grain offerings, drink offerings, and other sacrifices according to the appointed times. He emphasizes the importance of following the Lord's instructions and commands in the construction of the temple.
