Easy Bible・2 Chronicles 15
2 Chronicles 15:7
But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded."
In this chapter, we see King Asa of Judah taking significant steps to reform the nation and bring them back to God. He removed the idols and altars of foreign gods, repaired the altar of the Lord, and gathered the people of Judah and Benjamin, as well as those who had come from Israel, to enter into a covenant to seek the Lord with all their heart and soul. Asa's reforms were met with success, as God gave them rest on every side. The key verse of this chapter is found in verse 7, where the prophet Azariah speaks to Asa and the people, saying, 'But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.' This verse reminds us of the importance of perseverance and faithfulness in seeking God. Asa's dedication to removing idols and seeking God's presence brought about blessings and rest for the nation. As we reflect on this chapter, we are reminded of the significance of seeking God wholeheartedly and removing anything that hinders our relationship with Him. Just as Asa took action to reform the nation, we should also take steps to align our lives with God's will and seek Him diligently. Let us be encouraged by Asa's example and remember that our work in seeking God will be rewarded.
