Easy Bible・2 Chronicles 17
2 Chronicles 17:3
The LORD was with Jehoshaphat because in his early years he walked in the ways his father David had followed. He did not consult the Baals
Jehoshaphat, the son of Asa, became king of Judah and he followed the ways of his father David. He did not seek the Baals, but sought the God of his father and obeyed his commands. As a result, the Lord established his kingdom and Jehoshaphat became wealthy and highly esteemed. Jehoshaphat's reign was marked by his commitment to the Lord. He sent officials, priests, and Levites throughout the kingdom to teach the people the Book of the Law of the Lord. As a result, the fear of the Lord fell on the surrounding kingdoms, and they did not make war against Jehoshaphat. Jehoshaphat's faithfulness and obedience to God brought blessings and prosperity to the kingdom of Judah. He set his heart on seeking the Lord, and God established his reign. This chapter serves as a reminder of the importance of seeking God and obeying his commands, as it leads to blessings and favor from the Lord.
