In this chapter, Joash, the rightful heir to the throne, is crowned as king of Judah. The high priest Jehoiada gathers the Levites and the leaders of the people to make a covenant with Joash and the nation. They go to the temple and Jehoiada presents Joash to the people, who rejoice and make a covenant to be the Lord's people.
