Ezra 6:22
For seven days they celebrated with joy the Feast of Unleavened Bread, because the LORD had filled them with joy by changing the attitude of the king of Assyria, so that he assisted them in the work on the house of God, the God of Israel.
In this chapter, we see the completion of the temple that was started by the decree of King Cyrus. The Israelites were able to finish the construction of the temple with the help of God and the support of King Darius, who confirmed the decree of Cyrus and provided additional resources. The temple was completed and dedicated with great joy and celebrations. The Israelites celebrated the dedication of the temple with the Passover feast, which marked their deliverance from slavery in Egypt. They followed all the instructions given by Moses and observed the feast with great reverence and joy. The priests and Levites were appointed to their duties and the temple was fully functional once again. The completion of the temple was a significant event for the Israelites as it symbolized the restoration of their relationship with God and the fulfillment of God's promises. It was a time of great rejoicing and thanksgiving for the Israelites, as they experienced God's faithfulness and provision throughout the entire process.
