Easy Bible・Ezra 10
Ezra 10:1
While Ezra was praying and confessing, weeping and throwing himself down before the house of God, a large crowd of Israelites-men, women and children-gathered around him. They too wept bitterly.
In Ezra 10, the people of Israel gather together with Ezra, their leader, and confess their sin of intermarriage with foreign women. They acknowledge that they have been unfaithful to God's commandments by marrying women from other nations, which was strictly forbidden in the Law of Moses. They make a covenant with God to separate themselves from their foreign wives and children, and to follow God's law in all things.
