Easy Bible・Nehemiah 6
Nehemiah 6:15
So the wall was completed on the twenty-fifth of Elul, in fifty-two days.
In Nehemiah 6, Nehemiah faced opposition from his enemies who tried to distract him from completing the rebuilding of the wall of Jerusalem. Despite their persistent attempts to deceive and intimidate him, Nehemiah remained focused on his mission and refused to be swayed. When his enemies sent him an invitation to meet and conspire against him, Nehemiah discerned their evil intentions and wisely declined. He recognized that their goal was to harm him and hinder the work of God. Instead, he continued to devote himself to the task at hand, trusting in God's protection and guidance. As the wall neared completion, Nehemiah's enemies intensified their efforts by spreading false rumors about him. They hoped to discredit him and undermine his leadership. However, Nehemiah remained steadfast in his faith and determination. He prayed to God for strength and continued to lead the people with integrity and perseverance.
