Esther 4:14
For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father's family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?"

About this Chapter

In Esther 4, Mordecai learns about Haman's plan to annihilate the Jews, and he sends a message to Queen Esther, urging her to go before the king and plead for her people. Esther hesitates, fearing for her life, but Mordecai reminds her that she too will not be spared if she remains silent. Esther then decides to take action and asks the Jews to fast for three days before she approaches the king. Esther's decision to risk her life by going before the king without being summoned demonstrates her courage and commitment to her people. By fasting and seeking God's guidance, Esther shows her reliance on God's providence and power in the face of a difficult situation. Esther's story teaches us the importance of standing up for what is right, even when it is difficult or dangerous. It reminds us that God can use ordinary people like Esther to accomplish extraordinary things, and that our actions can have a significant impact on the lives of others.
