Easy Bible・Job 15
Job 15:1
Then Eliphaz the Temanite replied:
In this chapter, Eliphaz, one of Job's friends, accuses Job of speaking empty words and having no fear of God. Eliphaz believes that Job's suffering is a result of his own sin and that he is being punished by God. He argues that the wicked will always face consequences for their actions and that Job should repent and seek God's forgiveness. Eliphaz questions Job's wisdom and claims that his words are without knowledge. He asserts that Job's words are like wind and that he is undermining his own case by speaking against God. Eliphaz warns Job that his own mouth will condemn him and that he will be held accountable for his words. Eliphaz ends his speech by describing the fate of the wicked. He says that they will suffer destruction and that their wealth will be consumed by fire. He believes that the wicked will not escape the judgment of God and that they will be brought to justice. Eliphaz urges Job to turn to God and to receive His mercy and blessings.
