Easy Bible・Job 39
Job 39:26
"Does the hawk take flight by your wisdom and spread his wings toward the south?
In Job chapter 39, God continues to speak to Job, asking him a series of questions about various animals. God talks about the wild goats and the deer giving birth to their young, the strength and agility of the wild ox, and the wings and feathers of the ostrich. God asks Job if he is the one who gives the horse its strength and makes its neck adorned with a flowing mane. God also describes the fearlessness of the horse in battle and how it charges into the fray without hesitation. This chapter emphasizes God's wisdom in the animal kingdom. God shows Job that He is the one who created and sustains all creatures, and He has given each animal unique characteristics and abilities. The questions God asks Job serve to remind him of the vastness and complexity of creation, and to humble him before the greatness of God. As we read Job 39, we are reminded of God's sovereignty and wisdom in all aspects of creation. Just as God has a purpose and plan for each animal, He also has a purpose and plan for each one of us. We can trust in His wisdom and guidance, knowing that He is in control of all things.
