Psalms 115:1
Not to us, O LORD, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness.
This chapter reminds us that God is the only true God, and all glory and honor belong to Him alone. The psalmist begins by acknowledging that God deserves praise and glory because of His unfailing love and faithfulness. He contrasts God with the idols made by human hands, which are powerless and unable to do anything. The psalmist emphasizes that those who trust in idols will become like them - lifeless and without understanding. But those who trust in the Lord will be blessed and receive His help and protection. The psalm concludes with a call for all people, both small and great, to praise and trust in the Lord.
