Psalms 12:1
Help, LORD, for the godly are no more; the faithful have vanished from among men.
In Psalm 12, David cries out to God for help, as he sees the wickedness and deceitfulness of the people around him. He asks God to save the godly and to punish the wicked. David feels surrounded by lies and empty words, and he longs for God's protection and justice. The key verse in this chapter is verse 7, where David proclaims that God's words are flawless and pure, like silver refined in a furnace. David finds comfort and assurance in the fact that even in the midst of deceit and wickedness, God's promises are trustworthy and reliable. This psalm reminds us that in a world full of falsehood and deception, we can always turn to God for truth and protection. Just as David sought refuge in God, we too can find solace in His unfailing love and faithfulness. Let us trust in His promises and seek His guidance in all circumstances.
