Easy Bible・Psalms 14
Psalms 14:1
The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good.
This psalm starts by saying that fools deny the existence of God and live as if He does not exist. They are corrupt and do evil deeds. God looks down from heaven to see if there is anyone who seeks Him, but He finds that all have turned away and become corrupt. There is no one who does good, not even one. The psalmist laments the state of the fools and describes their destructive ways. They devour God's people and do not call upon Him. They are filled with dread because God is with the righteous. The psalmist expresses hope that God will restore His people and bring salvation to Israel. This psalm reminds us of the foolishness of denying God and living a corrupt life. It emphasizes the importance of seeking God and doing good. It also highlights the hope we have in God's salvation and restoration.
