About this Chapter

In this psalm, the psalmist cries out to God for help and guidance. He asks God to accept his prayer as incense and his uplifted hands as an evening sacrifice. The psalmist acknowledges his dependence on God and his need for His presence and protection. The psalmist also asks God to guard his mouth and keep him from sinning with his words. He desires for his words to be pleasing to God and to bring honor to His name. The psalmist recognizes the power of words and the importance of using them wisely. Furthermore, the psalmist expresses his trust in God's righteous judgment and asks Him to protect him from the traps and snares set by the wicked. He seeks refuge in God and places his hope in His unfailing love and faithfulness.
