Psalms 142:1
I cry aloud to the LORD; I lift up my voice to the LORD for mercy.
In this chapter, David cries out to God for help and pours out his distress before Him. He acknowledges that God is his refuge and his portion in the land of the living. David describes his desperate situation, feeling overwhelmed and alone. He expresses his longing for someone to understand and care for him. He recognizes that no one on earth is concerned for his life. Despite his affliction, David puts his trust in the Lord, knowing that God will deal bountifully with him. He ends the chapter by praising God and declaring his confidence in His goodness.
