Easy Bible・Psalms 28
Psalms 28:7
The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song.
Psalm 28 is a prayer of David, asking God for help and praising Him. David starts by crying out to the Lord, asking Him not to be silent and to hear his pleas for mercy. He acknowledges that if God remains silent, he will become like those who go down to the pit. David then asks God to hear his cry for mercy and to answer him. He expresses his trust in God, saying that the Lord is his strength and shield, and his heart trusts in Him. David prays for God to save and bless His people, and to be their shepherd and carry them forever. In this psalm, we see David's deep dependence on God and his faith in His power to save. David recognizes that without God's intervention, he is helpless and vulnerable. He turns to God in prayer, pouring out his heart and seeking His mercy. David also acknowledges God as his strength and shield, showing his trust in Him to protect and deliver him. This psalm reminds us of the importance of seeking God's help and putting our trust in Him in times of trouble. As we read Psalm 28, let us be encouraged to turn to God in prayer, just as David did. Let us pour out our hearts to Him, seeking His mercy and putting our trust in His strength and protection. May we also remember to pray for God's salvation and blessings for His people, and to trust in Him as our faithful shepherd who will carry us forever.
