Psalms 60:1
You have rejected us, O God, and burst forth upon us; you have been angry-now restore us!

About this Chapter

In this psalm, David cries out to God for help in a time of distress. He acknowledges that God has rejected his people and allowed them to suffer defeat, but he pleads for God's mercy and restoration. David begins by expressing the severity of the situation, saying that God has shaken the land and torn it apart. He describes the people as being in a state of confusion and asks God to restore them. David recognizes that victory can only come from God, and he expresses his trust and confidence in Him. He asks God to give him strength and lead him to victory over his enemies. David ends the psalm with a declaration of praise, acknowledging that it is only through God's help that they can overcome.
