Psalms 92:1
It is good to praise the LORD and make music to your name, O Most High,
This psalm is a song for the Sabbath day, praising God for His steadfast love and faithfulness. It emphasizes the importance of giving thanks and singing praises to God, and it declares that the righteous will flourish like palm trees and grow strong like cedars in Lebanon. The psalmist also acknowledges that God's works are great and His thoughts are profound, and that the wicked will perish while the righteous will be exalted. The psalmist calls on the people to declare that God is upright and there is no wickedness in Him. He encourages the people to praise God with musical instruments and to make music for Him with the ten-stringed harp and the melody of the lyre. The psalm ends with a declaration of God's faithfulness and righteousness, and a reminder that those who trust in Him will be blessed.
