Psalms 95:1
Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.
In this psalm, the psalmist invites everyone to come and sing for joy to the Lord. He calls the people to worship and bow down before God, acknowledging Him as the great King above all gods. The psalmist reminds the people of God's power and authority, emphasizing that the sea, the mountains, and the depths of the earth belong to Him. The psalmist also warns the people not to harden their hearts like their ancestors did in the wilderness. He recalls how the Israelites rebelled against God despite witnessing His miracles and wonders. As a result, God was angry with them and declared that they would never enter His rest. Through this psalm, we are reminded of the importance of worshiping and praising God with a joyful heart. We are called to bow down before Him and recognize His sovereignty over all creation. Additionally, we are warned against hardening our hearts and rebelling against God's commands. Let us approach God with reverence and gratitude, acknowledging His power and seeking His rest.
