Ecclesiastes 6:9
Better what the eye sees than the roving of the appetite. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.
This chapter discusses the vanity of wealth and the uncertainties of life. It emphasizes that having riches and possessions does not guarantee happiness or fulfillment. The chapter starts by stating that it is better to have a little with peace of mind than to have much with anxiety and discontentment. It highlights the futility of pursuing wealth without being able to enjoy it. The author reflects on the brevity of life and the fact that everyone eventually dies, regardless of their wealth or lack thereof. The chapter concludes by acknowledging that it is ultimately God who determines a person's circumstances and blessings, and that true contentment can only be found in Him.
