Ecclesiastes 8:15
So I commend the enjoyment of life, because nothing is better for a man under the sun than to eat and drink and be glad. Then joy will accompany him in his work all the days of the life God has given him under the sun.

About this Chapter

In this chapter, the Teacher reflects on the mysteries of life's injustices. He observes that sometimes the righteous suffer and the wicked prosper, which seems unfair. He advises us to accept the limitations of our understanding and not to rush to judgment. The Teacher also reminds us that there will be a time for judgment, and the wicked will not escape the consequences of their actions. The Teacher encourages us to enjoy life and make the most of the time we have, even in the midst of life's uncertainties. He acknowledges that we cannot fully comprehend God's ways, but urges us to trust in His wisdom and sovereignty. The Teacher concludes by emphasizing the importance of fearing God and keeping His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.
