Easy Bible・Isaiah 13
Isaiah 13:1
An oracle concerning Babylon that Isaiah son of Amoz saw:
In this chapter, Isaiah receives a prophecy from the Lord about the fall of Babylon. The Lord declares that He will stir up the Medes against Babylon, and they will carry out His judgment. The prophecy describes the devastation and destruction that will come upon Babylon, with no survivors left. The once proud and powerful city will be brought low. Isaiah's prophecy against Babylon serves as a reminder that God is sovereign over the nations and will execute judgment on those who oppose Him. It also foreshadows the future downfall of Babylon, which would be fulfilled many years later. This chapter reminds us of the importance of remaining faithful to God and not putting our trust in worldly powers and kingdoms.
