Easy Bible・Isaiah 38
Isaiah 38:1
In those days Hezekiah became ill and was at the point of death. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to him and said, "This is what the LORD says: Put your house in order, because you are going to die; you will not recover."
In this chapter, we learn about King Hezekiah's serious illness and his prayer to God for healing. Hezekiah became deathly ill, and the prophet Isaiah came to him and told him that he would not recover. Upon hearing this, Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the Lord, reminding God of his faithfulness and devotion. God heard Hezekiah's prayer and saw his tears, so He sent Isaiah back to him with a message of healing. God promised to add fifteen years to Hezekiah's life and to deliver him and the city of Jerusalem from the Assyrian king's attack.
