Easy Bible・Isaiah 41
Isaiah 41:10
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
In Isaiah 41, God reassures Israel of His faithfulness and promises to help them. He declares, 'So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.' (Isaiah 41:10) This verse serves as a reminder that God is always present with His people and will provide them with the strength and assistance they need in times of trouble. The chapter starts with God challenging the nations and their idols to present their case and prove their power. He mocks the idols and their makers, emphasizing that He alone is the true God who knows the future and controls history. God declares that He has chosen Israel and will bless and protect them, even in the face of their enemies. He promises to make them a new threshing sledge with sharp teeth, symbolizing their victory over their foes. God encourages Israel not to fear, for He will be their help and strength. He reminds them of His faithfulness throughout history, how He has always been there for them and will continue to be. The chapter concludes with God challenging the idols once again, declaring that He is the only God who can foretell the future and bring it to pass. He encourages Israel to trust in Him and not be afraid, for He is their Redeemer and will deliver them from their enemies.
