Easy Bible・Isaiah 48
Isaiah 48:17
This is what the LORD says- your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: "I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.
In Isaiah 48, God calls His people to listen and obey His commands. He reminds them of His faithfulness and the prophecies He has spoken through the prophets. Despite their rebellion and stubbornness, God has shown them mercy and grace. He desires for them to acknowledge Him as the only true God and to follow His ways. God declares that He has refined His people for His own sake, not because of their righteousness. He has allowed them to go through trials and hardships to purify them and make them stronger. He warns them not to trust in their idols or rely on their own strength, for He alone is their God and Savior. Through Isaiah, God reveals His plans to deliver His people from Babylonian captivity. He assures them that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He encourages them to leave Babylon and return to their homeland, for He has chosen them and will bless them abundantly. God's desire is for His people to trust in Him, listen to His voice, and walk in His ways.
