Easy Bible・Isaiah 59
Isaiah 59:1
Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear.
Isaiah 59 addresses the sins of Israel and the consequences they face as a result. The people have become corrupt, practicing violence, lies, and injustice. Their sins have separated them from God, causing Him to hide His face and not listen to their prayers. Despite their sinful state, God is still willing to save them. He sees their distress and the injustices they suffer, and He is moved to intervene. He will bring justice to the oppressors and redeem His people from their sins. The chapter ends with a promise of a future covenant with Israel. God declares that His Spirit and His words will be upon the people and their descendants forever. This covenant will ensure that God's words will never depart from their mouths or from the mouths of their children.
