Isaiah 60:1
"Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.
Isaiah 60 describes the future glory of Zion, the city of God. The chapter begins with a call for Zion to rise and shine, for the glory of the Lord has risen upon her. The darkness and gloom that once covered the earth will be dispelled, and the Lord's glory will be seen upon Zion. Nations and kings will be drawn to the light of Zion, bringing their wealth and resources as an offering. The city will be filled with abundance, and the Lord will make Zion a beacon of righteousness and praise. The people of Zion will no longer experience violence or destruction, and they will enjoy peace and prosperity. The chapter ends with a promise that the Lord will be their everlasting light, and their days of mourning will be turned into joy. The Lord will bless them with descendants and establish them as a righteous nation. The chapter highlights the future glory and prosperity of Zion, a testament to God's faithfulness and love for His people.
