Easy Bible・Isaiah 66
Isaiah 66:2
Has not my hand made all these things, and so they came into being?" declares the LORD. "This is the one I esteem: he who is humble and contrite in spirit, and trembles at my word.
In Isaiah 66, God speaks about true worship and the coming judgment. He says that the whole earth is His footstool and asks, 'Where is the house you will build for me?' God declares that He looks with favor on those who are humble and contrite in spirit, and who tremble at His word. God also speaks about the judgment He will bring upon the wicked. He says that He will bring His vengeance upon His enemies and repay those who hate Him. However, God promises to comfort His people and bring them peace like a river. He will extend prosperity to them like a flowing stream. In the final verses of Isaiah 66, God says that He will create a new heavens and a new earth, where His people will worship Him and all nations will come to bow down before Him. From one New Moon to another and from one Sabbath to another, all flesh will come and worship the Lord.
