Jeremiah 12:5
"If you have raced with men on foot and they have worn you out, how can you compete with horses? If you stumble in safe country, how will you manage in the thickets by the Jordan?

About this Chapter

Jeremiah complains to God about the prosperity of the wicked and the suffering of the righteous. He questions why the wicked prosper while those who follow God's ways are oppressed. God responds to Jeremiah's complaint, telling him that if he feels weary running with footmen, how will he compete with horses? God reminds Jeremiah that the people of his own household have betrayed him, and warns him that the land will be laid waste because of its wickedness. Despite the challenges Jeremiah faces, God assures him that He will ultimately judge and punish the wicked. God promises to uproot the wicked from the land and bring justice to His people.
