Easy Bible・Jeremiah 33
Jeremiah 33:3
'Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.'
In this chapter, God speaks to Jeremiah while he is still confined in the courtyard of the guard. God promises restoration and blessing to the people of Judah and Jerusalem. He assures them that despite the destruction and desolation they are experiencing, He will bring healing and prosperity. God also promises to cleanse them from their sins and forgive their iniquity. God encourages the people to call on Him and He will answer them. He promises to reveal great and unsearchable things to them, things they do not know. God reminds them of His faithfulness and His covenant with David, promising to raise up a righteous branch from David's line, who will execute justice and righteousness in the land. The chapter ends with God reaffirming His commitment to the covenant with David and the Levitical priesthood. He declares that as long as the sun, moon, and stars exist, His covenant with David and the Levites will not be broken. God promises to multiply the descendants of David and the Levites and restore their fortunes.
