About this Chapter

Jeremiah is imprisoned by King Zedekiah for prophesying against Judah and the king seeks his counsel in secret. Jeremiah tells the king that the Babylonians will return and take the city, but the officials accuse him of deserting to the Babylonians. Jeremiah is thrown into a cistern and left to die, but an Ethiopian eunuch rescues him and brings him back to the palace.
