Easy Bible・Ezekiel 5
Ezekiel 5:1
"Now, son of man, take a sharp sword and use it as a barber's razor to shave your head and your beard. Then take a set of scales and divide up the hair.
In this chapter, Ezekiel receives a message from God concerning Jerusalem's judgment. God commands Ezekiel to take a sharp sword and shave his head and beard. Then he is to divide the hair into thirds. A third is to be burned inside the city, another third is to be struck with the sword outside the city, and the remaining third is to be scattered to the wind. This represents the judgment that will come upon Jerusalem. Ezekiel is then told that a third of the people will die by plague or famine, a third will be killed by the sword, and a third will be scattered to the wind. God's anger against Jerusalem is fierce because of their unfaithfulness and idolatry. The city will become a desolation and a reproach among the nations.
