Easy Bible・Ezekiel 13
Ezekiel 13:1
The word of the LORD came to me:
In Ezekiel 13, the prophet condemns the false prophets who were spreading lies and false visions among the people of Israel. These false prophets claimed to speak on behalf of God, but their words were not from Him. They were deceiving the people by giving them false hope and leading them astray. God's message through Ezekiel was clear: He would bring judgment upon these false prophets and expose their lies. Their false prophecies would not come true, and the people would know that they were not sent by God. God promised to tear down the walls that these prophets had built and to expose their hidden motives and intentions. The false prophets were compared to people who plastered the walls with whitewash, making them appear strong and beautiful on the outside, but in reality, the walls were weak and would crumble under pressure. Similarly, the false prophets were deceiving the people with their smooth words and false promises, but their teachings would not stand the test of time.
