Easy Bible・Ezekiel 15
Ezekiel 15:6
"Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: As I have given the wood of the vine among the trees of the forest as fuel for the fire, so will I treat the people living in Jerusalem.
In this chapter, God compares the people of Jerusalem to a useless vine. He says that just as a vine is only good for making firewood when it has no fruit, the people of Jerusalem have become useless and will be punished by God. God explains that He will bring a sword against Jerusalem and destroy both the city and its inhabitants. He emphasizes that even if Noah, Daniel, and Job were living in the city, their righteousness would only save themselves and not the city. The chapter concludes with God stating that He will make the land desolate and the people will know that He is the Lord who brings judgment upon them.
