Easy Bible・Ezekiel 25
Ezekiel 25:17
I will carry out great vengeance on them and punish them in my wrath. Then they will know that I am the LORD, when I take vengeance on them.'"
In Ezekiel 25, God pronounces judgment against various nations, including Ammon, Moab, Edom, and Philistia. These nations had rejoiced over the destruction of Jerusalem and had taken advantage of Israel's misfortune. God declares that He will execute His vengeance upon them and make them desolate. The Ammonites will be given to the people of the East as a possession, and they will be remembered no more. The Moabites will suffer punishment for their pride and arrogance, and their land will become a desolate wasteland. The Edomites will face judgment for their perpetual hatred towards Israel, and their cities will be laid waste. The Philistines will experience God's wrath for their revenge and hostility, and their cities will be destroyed. Through the judgment against these nations, God shows His sovereignty and justice. He will not tolerate the mistreatment of His people and will ensure that justice is served. This chapter serves as a reminder that God is in control and will hold all nations accountable for their actions.
