Ezekiel 38:1
The word of the LORD came to me:

About this Chapter

In this chapter, the Lord speaks to the prophet Ezekiel and tells him to prophesy against Gog, the leader of the land of Magog. God says that He will turn Gog around and put hooks in his jaws to bring him out with his whole army, along with many other nations. Gog will come against the mountains of Israel, but God will intervene and bring about his judgment. The Lord declares that He will summon a sword against Gog and his allies, and there will be a great shaking in the land of Israel. The mountains will be overturned, and every wall will fall to the ground. God will send fire on Magog and on those who live in safety in the coastlands, and they will know that He is the Lord. The Lord says that He will execute judgment on Gog with pestilence and bloodshed. He will send torrential rain, hailstones, fire, and brimstone on Gog and his troops, as well as on the many nations that are with him. Through this judgment, God will show His greatness, holiness, and His name will be known among the nations.
