Easy Bible・Daniel 12
Daniel 12:2
Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.
Daniel 12 focuses on the resurrection and the end times. It starts by saying that there will be a time of great distress, but God's people will be delivered. Then it goes on to describe the resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked. Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever. The chapter also mentions a period of time, 1,290 days, and another period of time, 1,335 days. These numbers are not explained in detail, but they are likely symbolic and represent different stages or events in the end times. The book of Daniel ends with the instruction to seal up the words of the prophecy until the time of the end. This implies that the prophecies in Daniel will be fully understood and fulfilled in the future. It is a reminder that God is in control of history and that His plans will ultimately be accomplished.
