Easy Bible・Hosea 13
Hosea 13:4
"But I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt. You shall acknowledge no God but me, no Savior except me.
In this chapter, Hosea continues to warn Israel about their sin and the impending judgment from God. He compares Israel to a morning mist, a fleeting dew, and chaff blown away by the wind. Hosea reminds the people of how God had been their God since their time in the wilderness, but now they have turned to idols and forgotten Him. As a result, God will bring punishment upon them, and there will be no one who can save them. Despite their rebellion, God's love for Israel remains. He declares that He will redeem them from the power of the grave and ransom them from death. He will be their destruction of death and their plague of destruction. Yet, Israel's punishment is inevitable, and they will be scattered among the nations.
